The stethoscope was invented in France in 1816 by way of Rene Laennec at the Necker-Enfants Malades Health Center in Paris. It consisted of a wood tube and used to be monaural. A Superb Present for nurses and medical doctors, our stethoscope pin is handcast in the US. Handcast in solid, lead-free pewter, each of our pins is an unique three dimensional sculpture signed by means of the artist, Jim Clift. In My Opinion packaged on certainly one of our signature presentation cards, our pins arrive prepared for present giving!
